Complications with Mac
I love the Diner Dash series,
and when I found out that this compilation was out for Mac, I was
thrilled! It came quickly through the mail even with standard shipping
(Thanks Amazon!) and I couldn't wait to install it into my new macbook.
Looking at the fine print after opening the game, I figured OS X 10.4
was the MINIMUM requirement. However, the MAXIMUM requirement is OS X
10.5 My macbook runs on OS X 10.6.2
Hopes held high, I still had
faith in this game to work. The installer kept telling me that I needed
admin privileges to install it, which I had. I checked all the settings
on my admin, and the pieces would not fit.
I contacted Playfirst
and asked them what was going on. Apparently, this compilation came out
before Snow Leopard was released. The hard-copy from retails does not
work with anything more than OS X 10.5, however Playfirst's mac digital
download did.
I gave this a 2 star rating, because I do love the
compilation. It was shipped very quickly to me. I was also able to get
the 4 digital downloads "free" with proof of receipt. Because of the
inconvenience, customer service gave me the unlocked key codes so I
could still enjoy the game.

DON'T BUY MAC USERS IF YOUR
USING MAC SNOW LEPORD 10.6 OR LATER. THIS DISK ONLY SUPPORTS MAC 10.4
& 10.5 NOTHING MORE AND NOTHING LESS!!! DIDN'T REALIZE UNTIL AFTER
RECEIVED IN THE MAIL. IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED THIS ALREADY, CONTACT
"PLAYFIRST". I CONTACTED THEM ASAP AND GOT AN EAMIL BACK LETTING ME KNOW
THAT I NEED TO EAMIL THEM PROOF OF PURCHASE AND THEY WILL GIVE ME THE
NEW UPDATED VERSION DIGITAL DOWNLOAD. IT'S A HASSAL TO GO THROUGH THIS
BECAUSE AMAZON NEEDS TO LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS.

Simple and fun time management games
All four of the included
games (Diner Dash, Diner Dash 2 - Restaurant Rescue, Diner Dash - Flo on
the Go, and Diner Dash Hometown Hero) are great. The gradually add new
features as you play through them so it is a great introduction to the
Diner Dash series.
I don't usually play "casual" games but many
of the titles from the developer/publisher PlayFirst are fun.
I
had no problems running this on my PC running 64 bit Windows 7 or my
Intel based Mac running OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard). In both cases it
installs from the CD and runs from your hard drive with no need to
reinsert the disk when you want to play.
