Fun but short4 This is a great break from HOG games, if you are that kind of gamer. The graphics were good, and there was a tangible plot (very seasonal, too, if you are in a Halloween mode). There is no "seek and find" per se - although there are objects you have to find to get through the game. I am a huge Nancy Drew PC game fan and also loved the Monkey Island PC games - this is sort of like that only much, much easier. All of the tasks are logical (you don't have to make a cannon out of a coconut and a banana peel, e.g.). There are a couple of logic mini-games, too, but those should be elementary if you play HOGs frequently (or ND games). I give the game four stars because it is so easy - and short. I finished it in one sitting - I didn't time myself, but it probably was only a couple of hours or so (and I never even thought about checking a walkthrough). Think MCF Dire Grove but with NONE of the HOG parts, and not nearly as many places to go and investigate. Just a little more development with some more difficult pieces to put together, and I think this could have been a five star game. Also, because there are no HOG elements, it has almost zero replay value (unless you are like me and have the memory span of a fruitfly ;) ). Would not load properly1 I use Windows 7. I downloaded the game and installed it, and upon opening, the game would display a static screen (with creepy music) and nothing more. And, since Amazon's A-Z Guarantee only covers physical merchandise, I can not get a refund. It was ok...3 It was a little too easy (they constantly told you exactly what to do) and pretty short. Also the hidden objects weren't very well hidden. Probably would've been ok for someone younger. But it was somewhat entertaining.
