Sad1 I'm not sure what's extreme about this program except the boredom factor. It's just like sailing in a real boat - you tend to fall asleep. The graphics are blocky and poor with a ridiculously slow refresh rate considering I have a GTX295 video card. There are no instructions so when the program told me to deploy my MLB (or whatever the acronym was) I had no idea what it was talking about. You can't get to the control options to adjust video, audio, or keyboard assignments without stopping the game and returning the the main menu. When you rotate the camera the sound effects cut out. The HUD is non-intuitive and there are controls I simply couldn't figure what they did. This program would have been lame ten years ago - these days it's an insult. Free Download, and still overpriced1 This demo took almost an hour to install, then 15 minutes more to load. There are no instructions. Had to quit mission back to main menu and hunt through the options menu for control settings before I had a clue how to move the boat. (here's a hint, you don't use the mouse for anything!) Then another 15 minutes to load the mission again, before the entire computer crashed. The only thing extreme about this "game" is the time I wasted with it. A bad demo2 For this rather large download you don't get much. There are 2 levels, both pretty basic and relatively easy. While the graphics are pretty good they are let down by almost non existent gameplay mechanics. The levels are slow, the boats are boring and for a simulator there's little technical detail. Worst of all the damage on the boat is summed up with one power bar, when it's gone you sink with no damage shown on the ship. So you can't even get the pleasure of smashing your boat up.
