Big,
Arcade-Style Challenges for Strategic Thinkers
Your favorite
chaotic, pachinko-style pinball game is back. Action-packed and
family-friendly, this game will quickly find you sending balls flying at
strategically located bricks, pegs, and obstacles to score points and
show off your unique skills and style. And the advanced physics of
previous Peggle games is still at work, which means the trajectory of
each bouncing ball is intricately calculated, and the results of a shot
may change if your aim is off even the slightest bit. The precision with
which angles are used here also means that you'll find math-practice
and strategic planning hidden in what seems like a simple game of
chance.
Colorful Pegs and Cool Super Powers
You'll find
pegs and bricks of different colors that unlock cool powers, and once
you hit all 25 orange pegs on a level, you will activate Ultra Extreme
Fever mode, win an All Pegs Cleared Ribbon, and move on to the next
level of play. The ability to win points for cool or tricky shots adds
an extra element to any contest, while the fast, family-friendly action
of 60 adventurous levels and 60 Challenges keeps things interesting and
engaging over the long haul. There's even a duel mode that lets you go
head to head with the computer or take on a friend and establish grounds
for bragging rights.
Unique Artwork and the Hidden Secrets of
Magical Masters
In the course of your Peggle training at the
Institute, you'll also enjoy the backdrop set by a fantastical world,
and you'll meet ten unique Peggle Masters. From Bjorn, the Super Guide
unicorn, to Kat Tut and the Renfield Pumpkin, master of Spooky Ball,
these quirky, personable characters have their own specialties and magic
powers, adding depth to the strategic elements of each contest. Fans of
the original game will be sure to enjoy the way each master takes on a
special "undercover" style after sunset, starting with the revelation of
Bjorn's mask, cape, and adventurous, justice-seeking ways.
And,
of course, the unique, illustration-inspired artwork packed with bold
colors that is responsible for Peggle's truly magical feeling is back at
work in this game.

ADDICTIVE BOUNCING FUN - NOW
WITH ITS AddOn!!!
This is the most successful
cross between Patchinko and Pinball! It will have you laughing and
shouting at the damn bouncing ball...
At every level there is a
number of colored pegs that have to be hit in order to clear the level.
They are amongst generic pegs that is OK to hit yet will hinder your
access to the colored ones you have to clear - and you have only a
limited number of shooting balls.
Every time you shoot a ball it gets
used - unless you are lucky to fall into an oscillating bucket and gets
recycled. There are also special pegs that give you special abilities
for a limited time.
I am afraid I am not doing justice to the game -
if it sounds complicated it is not. You pick it up in a minute and it is
GREAT FUN!
This is a perfect example of what has come to be
known as Casual Gaming. It would be a good idea to download the 60-min
trial version from a site, such as REFLEXIVE (you can Google it), and
decide for yourself whether this is indeed your cup of tea.
Anybody
can make a good game that will run only on a super-computer. This is an
example of pure programming genius!
If you already own Peggle
keep in mind that this version only extends the original with some extra
levels and a new "superpower". It is not its sequel - so decide
accordingly.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Great game for all ages - and better than the
original!
For a simple concept - clear
the colored balls off of each screen - this is an amazingly addictive
game for casual gamers of all ages. It's simple and dramatic enough to
entertain even the youngest players, but has enough strategy and thought
needed to achieve higher challenges to please any adult.
If
you've played the original Peggle, this version is even better and more
addictive because:
- The graphics are more dramatic and
entertaining, with a tale that weaves them together.
- There is
much more continued playability with this version. There are screens you
work through to clear the colored balls and release a superpower,
exceed a best score to achieve an "Ace Award", and clear all the pegs to
receive a 100% clear award. When you achieve the ace award or the 100%
clear award for ALL of the screens - you receive a trophy. While, that's
enough to keep anyone addictively attached to their computer for far
too long, there's also a large group of separate challenges (like
clearing a screen using only 2 balls), which you'll receive another
trophy for if you can complete them all.
- There's a new
superpower in this one - the Electrobolt. Though it's interesting to try
and needed for a few screens, it's not my favorite one.
BOTTOM
LINE: If you've been addicted to Peggle before - you're going to like
Peggle Nights even more! If you haven't tried Peggle before, but in
general like puzzle games like Tetris, Zuma or Bejeweled - you are
absolutely going to enjoy this one! But, be forewarned: this game is
incredibly addictive and some screens may leave you talking to (or
yelling at) your computer!
Great game.
Levels are much more
challenging than the Peggle Deluxe game I have. It's addictive trying to
beat your own scores.
